Design your Life



Design the life,
The life you dream to live
Channel all your energies
In creating the masterpiece.
Let your life
Look like a beautiful artwork
Sound like an enchanting melody.
Yes, we can all do it
By blending the power
Of our Heart and Mind,
And not letting them 
Be at constant loggerheads.
Design your life, 
The life you dream to live
Adversities will spill ink
Mangle your design time and again
They'll cripple and discourage you. 
Rest for a while, if you must
Take a deep breath
And start afresh again
Don't quit till you've created the masterpiece.

    Love. And I have a special fondness of the word "loggerheads"--never thought I'd see it in a poem. You set up the contrast beautifully, and I feel encouraged to strive for a good design in 2016.

    Every day is a new beginning. Keep on keeping on striving. The constant struggle between the mind and heart is always a dilemma.Poets are always going to experience this one but then again it is a useful continuing source of rich material:)
